View Phone’s Contact IP

Scope

The following will show you how to obtain the Contact. This can help you determine if your Desk Phone has a contact with Public IP instead of Private IP, which indicates you may have SIP ALG or Double NAT occurring.

Requirements:

Access to Manager Portal

Basic User

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal.
  2. Once logged in navigate over to the Phones tab.
  3. Hover over the IP Address for a particular device. This IP Address will be the Public IP of your device.
  4. A pop will appear with the following information:
    • Extension Number
    • Contact IP:Port Number
  5. If this device is a Desk Phone, you would want the Contact IP to be a Private IP Address.

Office Manager

  1. Log in to the Manager portal.
  2. Once logged in navigate over to the Users tab.
  3. Select a particular User.
  4. Click on Phones
  5. Hover over the IP Address for a particular device.
  6. This IP Address will be the Public IP of your device.
  7. A pop will appear with the following information:
    • Extension Number
    • Contact IP:Port Number
  8. If this device is a Desk Phone, you would want the Contact IP to be a Private IP Address.
