Device Provisioning via DHCP Options
Scope:
The following steps will allow you to configure IP handsets automatically via DHCP options.
Requirements:
- If you or your provider has not already done so, Add Your Device to the Manager Portal
- Handset should be in a Factory Reset state
- Access to the DHCP server (i.e. Windows DHCP server or SonicWALL)
Windows DHCP Server
- Open Windows DHCP server
- Right-click on IPv4 and click on Set Predefined Options…

- Complete the following fields
- Option Class: DHCP Standard Options
- Option Name: 066 Boot Server Name
- Click Add…
- Complete the following fields
- Name: Provisioning Server
- Data Type: String
- Code: 160
- Description: Provisioning Server
- String: http://ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg
- Click OK
Dell SonicWALL
- Click on Network > DHCP Server > Advanced

- In the popup window click on Add Option…
- Fill out the new window as follows:
- Option Name: Provisioning Server
- Option Number: 66
- Option Type: String
- Option Value: http://ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg
- Click OK
- Click on Add Option… again
- Fill out the new window as follows:
- Option Name: Provisioning Server 2
- Option Number: 160
- Option Type: String
- Option Value: http://ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg
- Click OK
NOTE: DHCP option overriding the rekeyed UN/PW after the phone provisions. It would be best to add an override disabling DHCP options once provisioned, such as for Yealink static.auto_provision.dhcp_option.enable=“0”
