Provisioning: Global One Time Password

Scope

Instruction on how provision a device using the Global One Time Password for configuration file authentication.

Requirements

Information

A global one time password, is used to authenticate the device’s request for a configuration file from the configuration server.

Each brand will use the same global one time password. After the initial provision, the one time password is no longer valid, and each supported device will have its own unique password to use for future resync’s.

Manual Provisioning

For devices that are not in a redirect server, you can still use the global one time password to provision the device.

This can be done 1 of 2 ways.

  1. Through the phone’s menu, enter in the provisioning URL of https://ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg and when attempting to pull a configuration, the phone will prompt for a username and password.
  2. Log into the phone’s webgui and navigate to the auto provisioning section, fill in the server URL along with the username and password.

Both of these methods will allow the phone to pull a configuration, and once updated will use their own respective unique passwords for each future resync.

Please refer to the brands manual provisioning KB for detailed instruction.
